 T here are primarily two different ways to do adaptive bitrate streaming. One method is called Transcoding and the other method is using Multi bitrate streaming aka MBR. Transcoding is recommended in most cases since it is hassle-free and the conversion to multiple bitrates happens at the server end on the fly as you   stream . Also, it can be turned on with a click of a button for any channel. T he sub-user created by the Livebox admin can access the Client Portal and  re-stream the live videos  running on the   Livebox   server channel to their desired destinations. The destination could be anywhere, like Facebook, Periscope, YouTube, Twitch, RTMP servers, and other streaming platforms. So, to start re-streaming the Livebox server channel content on Facebook, the sub-user have to log in the Client Portal with the credentials provided by the admin. Enter your username and password and then give Login. You can click the ‘Add Destination’ button located on the right side or the thunder button on the left side to select your destination.  To  start   live   streaming using the Livebox Encoder software, Install the Mixer and Playout software from the Livebox streaming server. (Account Settings – Download – Studio (for PC Users) / Android (for Android Users) Generate the unique pin to access the software every time you want to live stream using the Mixer and Playout software. Note:   You can capture the source from your camera or you can use the playout to take your source for encoding.  So, after setting up the camera or adding the streaming source using the playout, open the Encoder window. Note:  You have to first set up your streaming capturing device (camera or  playout settings ) and then move on to the encoder settings window. In the Encoder settings, Select your  Video Device  i.e., the device from which you are taking the video source for live streaming. And the same applies to the  Audio Device . Give a name for your app, then enter the display name and app description. Then browse and set your app icon and logo. Then finally click on the “Generate App”. Your app creation process begins and when it says at the end like “Click the below” button to download APK ,  click on the “Download APK” button. The app gets downloaded to your PC downloads in the zip file format. So, extract the file. To activate your   Livebox   Instacast encoder device, Email your  Device ID  and  Hardware Key  to the IVB7 support team. The IVB7 support team, in turn, will send you the License Key. Now access the device interface on your browser. Note:   To access the Instacast Encoder device on your browser, you can use your  Device IP  along with the port URL ( :3978 ) provided by the IVB7 team. E.g.,  127.0.0.1:3978 Enter the provided License Key on the License Key bar and click Save. And your device will be activated. So, you can start  live streaming  using the Instacast Encoder device.

While creating a   video conference   chatroom, you have the option to enable app authentication for the login purpose. There are four different ways to enable login authentication for you app users, Allow Signup Allow Unauthenticated User Username and Password Pin Number After enabling any of these options, you have to provide the conference URL link to your users so that they Sign up/Login to use the app. ALLOW SIGNUP If you enable the Allow Signup option, then the user themselves can sign up to use the video  conferencing  app through the provided URL link.
