 T here are primarily two different ways to do adaptive bitrate streaming. One method is called Transcoding and the other method is using Multi bitrate streaming aka MBR. Transcoding is recommended in most cases since it is hassle-free and the conversion to multiple bitrates happens at the server end on the fly as you   stream . Also, it can be turned on with a click of a button for any channel. How to Conduct Transcoding Using Wirecast as an Encoder?

 Ad aptive bitrate   streaming   (Transcoding) is available only in the higher-end versions of Livebox. To conduct transcoding using Wirecast, Keep your streaming channels ready i.e., output channel and input channel. Now under  Manage Channels , go to  Transcoding .  A  Transcoding  page opens up and you can select your input channel by clicking the drop-down menu given in the “Select Channel” option. In  Output Channels , select the channel where the video has to be transcoded. Then give turn on near transcoding. Once you give the turn on, new options for transcoding shows up, where you can set the  Preset . And then click “Save”. How to Re-stream on Facebook Using the Livebox Client Portal?

T he sub-user created by the Livebox admin can access the Client Portal and  re-stream the live videos  running on the   Livebox   server channel to their desired destinations. The destination could be anywhere, like Facebook, Periscope, YouTube, Twitch, RTMP servers, and other streaming platforms. So, to start re-streaming the Livebox server channel content on Facebook, the sub-user have to log in the Client Portal with the credentials provided by the admin. Enter your username and password and then give Login. You can click the ‘Add Destination’ button located on the right side or the thunder button on the left side to select your destination. A dialog box ‘Share on’ with several destinations shows up. How to start the live streaming on RTMP Channels using the New Livebox Encoder software?

 To  start   live   streaming using the Livebox Encoder software, Install the Mixer and Playout software from the Livebox streaming server. (Account Settings – Download – Studio (for PC Users) / Android (for Android Users) Generate the unique pin to access the software every time you want to live stream using the Mixer and Playout software. Note:   You can capture the source from your camera or you can use the playout to take your source for encoding.  So, after setting up the camera or adding the streaming source using the playout, open the Encoder window. Note:  You have to first set up your streaming capturing device (camera or  playout settings ) and then move on to the encoder settings window. In the Encoder settings, Select your  Video Device  i.e., the device from which you are taking the video source for live streaming. And the same applies to the  Audio Device . How to Live Stream on the Livebox Server Using vMix as an Encoder?

Livebox streaming server is multidimensional in nature, it can encode, stream and, transcode by working alone. At the same time, the Livebox server is also adaptable enough to go along with any many encoders or streaming software. vMix is one such streaming software which is supported by Livebox. Though Livebox works with external software, still the streaming process is simple and easy. The following steps will give you the understanding to use vMix with Livebox. Create your channel in Livebox. Go to vMix and click “Add Input” from the bottom left corner. A dialog box “Input Select” opens, where you can click “Browse” to add your source to vMix. After selecting your source, click “OK”. And your source is added. Now go to the Livebox  Channel Dashboard  under  Manage Channels  from the navigation menu and click  Streaming URL  to copy the streaming RTMP URL. Then go to vMix and click  Stream .
